That’s very nice! At my vet’s — he’s Dr. Kenton Taylor in Mountain View, California — they have a toy dog (not a real dog) that’s used to show people how “chips” are used to identify pets. The toy doggy has a nametag that says “Scruffy!” I was very surprised when I first saw it. My cat Scruffy also has another name. I call him “The Bear” Of course he’s not a bear, he’s a cat. But he has some similarities to bears! He has furry ears and a wet nose and he sleeps a lot! Bears hibernate. So they sleep a lot too! Do you have any other names for your doggie Scruffy?
Hi Scruffy, this is from Bebe, Jacob’s cat. I was wondering if you ever get shaved?
I had a big hair event two weeks ago and I looked really neat, they call it a ‘panther cut’. I used to be scruffy, but now I’m neat.
When my wife Priscilla was still with us, she would always look a bit strange at me when I first emerged: such a neato cat, is he really mine? But now she has gone, fell victim to a strange infection (feline HIV, maybe).
I’m lonely here inTexas, since my family (human) are in Scandinavia for the summer. By the time they get back, I’l be more like my old scruffy self. Maybe I can figure how to send you a picture!
Tell Joel I was glad and surprised he remembered the good old days in Austin. As you see, my folks are back there now–my mom Inger (human) is getting a Ph.D. and she is very careful about me not nesting on top of her new computer, something about hairs, but then again, now it shouldn’t be such a big deal, and besides the computer is gone.
Hi there Scruffy! This is my, puppyscruffy’s dog, here. I woud usaully chase ctas, like my roomcat, Mellow. Just thinking about her makes me wanna growl! I wouldn’t chase you though! My Golden Retriever instincs tell me not to chas stuff that has the same name as me. Oh great, Mellow’s is the room! GRRRRRR! I’ll get you this time, Mellow. Well, bye Scruffy! I have to give Mellow a growl she won’t forget!
From,
Scruffy the dog (but sometimes my owner calles me “Scruff”, “Scruffster, or “Scruffy Machine”! I like Scruffster the best because it sounds like a name that dogs like to chase cats (not you of course, only Mellow). Grrr! Have a scruffy day!

Let me hear from you when you have the time.
