Scruffy hadn’t eaten anything for three days and I was getting scared; So it was really exciting to see him show an interest in food again. But we’re not out of the woods yet.

Between the pumpkins and tomatoes, the backyard has become a jungle. So when I saw Scruffy sunning himself by the fence this morning, I knew it would be challenging to get into position to take a picture without scaring him off. Fortunately I have a telephoto lens; I call it my “Vanny Lens.” That’s because I bought it so I could take pictures of my neighbor Doria’s cat — his name is Vanny — who would never let me get close enough to take a good picture with my regular lens. Problem solved!

If I try to sleep past noon, Joely wakes me up so I’ll be able to get to sleep the next night.

But I definitely vote Democat.
(People may think Joely is becoming a bit compulsive about this blog thing,
but with a photo opportunity like this, what else could he do?)

This is how I stay warm at night: I burrow into the bedding. Joely calls this a “Bunny nest.”

Actually, that’s an exaggeration, although Sr. Scruffy was slightly agitated; he’d been combed quite enough, thank you
(That’s our beloved Barty in the background.)

Scruffy was very obstreperous this morning; Now he’s recharging his batteries out on the holo-deck. I sang a little song while I took this picture: “Where, oh where, is Scruffy the Bear? Oh where, oh where can he be?”

These are Scruffy’s two favorite friends in the whole world (besides Joely) !

My bad

For you cosmopolitan, match dot com types: I’m equally comfortable either in jeans or black-tie; sometimes I wear both at the same time.
